Hi there, I'm Judy Croon. Welcome to another episode of 'Laugh Long and Prosper' – Shelf Help with a dash of humour. I believe that humour is one of our best coping mechanisms-especially when we are facing stress and unknown times like Covid. Today is Monday. That means it’s time for 'Just Another Mindful Monday'. I know that baking has been a source of mindfulness for a lot of people. Today I’m chatting with a baker who had to pivot during Covid and as a result came up with an incredible and delicious idea. Mike owns a home bakery business that is fine safe certified. Launched in 2020, http://www.MikeMillsBaking.ca specializes in handcrafted, homemade cakes, cupcakes, seasonal pies and many other desserts. There is also a “Pie Of The Month” club subscription. He is a trained in classic French cookery and baking. He is a graduate from the George Brown program of culinary arts for baking. He is also a Red Seal certified chef with over 15 years experience in restaurants in Durham region, 8 of those years as an executive chef in Uxbridge. For Mike, home baking is comforting, soothing & relaxing and he loves the joy it brings whenever he can share it with good friends & family as well as connecting with the community.
